Black Russian Cake

(Excuse the appearance of my kitchen in the background. Its in the process of getting redone)

I made this delicious black Russian cake yesterday to bring to my friend Marina's house for their usual Sunday dinners. It came out sooo moist and tasty, quite proud of myself!!

1 (18.25 ounce) package moist yellow cake mix

1 (5.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix

4 eggs

1/2 cup white sugar

1 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup vodka

1/4 cup coffee flavored liqueur

3/4 cup water

1/4 cup coffee flavored liqueur

1 cup confectioners' sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt. pan
In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, white sugar, oil, vodka, 1/4 cup liqueur, and water. Beat for four minutes. Pour batter into prepared Bundt pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool on a rack.
Make a glaze by combining 1/4 cup coffee liqueur and 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar. Turn cake over on a cake plate. Poke cake several times with a fork. Cover with glaze, and dust with remaining 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar.

They say good things come to those who wait so ima be at least an hour late

I've been taking full advantage of this beautiful weather, and my afternoons off by trying to get outside and take some pictures. My kitten Tiger decided he also wanted to be in today's photoshoot as well! I've been wanting to show you guys these pieces I thrifted for awhile now. This skirt originally had a polyester lining underneath so I cut that out to make it sheer. I ended up ripping a huge hole into the side ooops!!...so I had to sew that back up the other day. The sweater which I'm pretty much obsessed with is made by Sasson. Between its cropped cut, batwing sleeves, knit texture, and the fact that it cost me only a dollar..I don't know what I love more about it!! I hope everyone enjoys there weekend! Happy Friday :)

Now she looked just like heaven But her mind reeked of hell

Finally some beautiful weather today! After I got out of class this morning the sun was out and shining so I ran home to take advantage of this and snap some photos with my sister. I wore this outfit out once before minus the cape and knit hat but of course like always I forgot my camera. I hinted about purchasing this dress at H&M in an earlier post. I just love it sooo much! Pretty much anything in velvet I've quickly become obsessed with.

Lanvin for H&M Countdown 14 days!!

I finally took a look at the full collection today and here are some of the items I'm hoping to pick up.
I've been having a slight obession with sheer items in my closet. I blame it on the sheer navy blue Rodarte for Target blouse I purchased last winter. I'm almost positive thats where it all started.

The color varations of faux fur in this jacket are killing me!...this is coming home with me for sure.

I resisted the urge to highlight this skirt in black. I find myself always purchasing black clothing but I'm trying to branch out and get some more items in white as well.

New Year's Eve option?..I think so.

In LOVE with this shade of yellow!

I know I know its black...but the amazing detail going on here makes this not just another LBD.

Its been a really long time since I've owned, let alone wore a pair of pointed toed heels, but I'm thinking these beauties are the perfect pair to reintroduce them back into my wardrobe.

I really just wanna wear this necklace with a buttery soft vintage rock t-shirt, a sequin jacket, and some boyfriend jeans. Oh and possibly those heels above haha.

Turban Time

Came across this fantastic idea for a faux-turban from the glamourai. It seems were both in the process of growing out our short hair cuts, and anything to help me get through this akward stage is a life saver!! Wore this today while helping my friend lisa explore her new neighborhood she just moved to!
