Look #3

Technically its still Spring..but it sure as hell does not feel like it outside!! So in spirit of this unseasonably warm weather we're experiencing, and especially the upcoming events (Rockin on the River on Wednesday nights in Troy, NY and Alive @ Five Thursday nights in Albany, Ny) I wanted to style some looks that I feel would be puurrrrfect to rock. If you're diggin what I'm puttin down stop by Some Girls Boutique in Troy, or Syracuse Ny, where you can pick up the exact looks I've styled above. If you can't make it to either store no worries you can shop online on the SG's iboutique.

D.I.Y Fringe Crop

Before

Before cutting, try on shirt and eyeball where you would like the fringe to start. Its not necessary to give you an exact measurement because everyone feels differently about how much skin they would like their crop tee-shirt to show. Once you have that figured out place a strip of duck tape or masking tape where you want the fringe to start. This will ensure all your cuts are even and you don't accidentally cut up any farther into your shirt.

After you put on the tape you can begin to cut the bottom half of the shirt which will essentially become the fringe. Make sure you have a sharp pair of scissors preferably ones that are used only for fabric. The thinner you cut your strips of fabric, the more fringe you'll have hanging so keep that in mind. After you have finished cutting the shirt take each individual strip of fabric and give it a slight stretch. Be careful not to pull the strips too hard or you'll rip them right off the shirt!( I learned this the hard way! haha)

Ta Dahhh The final product!! This is a perfect look for those upcoming outdoor music events. Alive at 5 (Albany), and Rocking on the River (troy). I would pair this up with a brightly colored/ patterned high-waisted short or skirt.

Here's another example to show you. You can get this fabby "Some Girls Get High" shirt in a variety of colors at Some Girls Boutique in Troy, or Syracuse.

Tulip Festival

Dress: Somegirls Sandals: Aldo Rings: Aldo Acessories Bracelet: H&M Belt: Thrifted

After work today I headed over to Washington Park in Albany with my sister for the Tulip Festival. The sun was shining, and all the flowers were fully bloomed. Overall it turned out to be a good day....minus getting caught in the rain on the way out of the park. I'm off to take a lil cat nap now so I'm not a zombie tonight going out with the girls. xoxo
