Fall daze

So I originally had plans today to do an outfit post but the weather is far too yucky! I think I'm gonna plan for one Saturday instead. I haven't looked at the forecast but I'm hoping the weather cooperates this time. I figure I'll just post these pictures I had on my camera from my day off this past Tuesday. Me and my friend Marina both had the day off so we did a little Halloween costume shopping, and grabbed some yummy Thai food. That night I ended up going to the pub and grabbing a couple drinks with my sister.

We got there early so I snapped a couple pictures of the place without feeling like a weirdo for doing so.(The restaurant is Blue Spice on Central Ave)

I got a dish called on the green. Basically its veggies and chicken smothered in Thai peanut sauce which is my favorite!!!

I looked like a lil hippie that day but in my defense it was reallyyy unseasonably warm n' all i just wanted to wear something flowy and loose. PLUS I think my hamburger hat balances everything out nicely!

Ta dahhhh! say hello to my new babies!! I've been on the hunt for a pair of black ankle boot wedges for foreverrrr. I finally found these gems at TJ Max from BCBG. They are soo comfortable and I know I'm gonna end up wearing these with pretty much everything.

Wore my new dress from H&M out to dinner friday night at the Albany Pump Station. I'll try to get a better picture of the dress on here,this just doesn't do it justice. (Interesting little fact: theres a giant white building behind me towards the upper right that was totally on fire while this picture was being taken.

Stitchin' Bitch

I'm sooo excited I finally received a pedal for my sewing machine today! (I have my mother and her co-worker Vanessa to thank for it) Its been so long since I've lost or misplaced mine, and even longer since I've been at a machine. I really miss creating things,and giving new life to thrift items. I currently have a pile of clothes in the corner that need to be taken care of so I think that's how I will be spending majority of my day tomorrow. If I'm particularly smitten with anything I'll be sure to share.

Morning-cation

So for the past 2 weeks it seems all I've been doing is running around like a crazy lady working 12 hour days plus school. When I realized that I didn't have to be at one of my jobs this morning I was pretty pumped. After class I met my sister at the mall to help her find a dress and heels for a wedding that she's going to in the city this weekend. While we were there I ended up "wandering" into Forever 21 and found these awesome black studded sling back wedges for like $25. Normally I'm not one for purchasing footwear at F21 for construction quality reasons but as soon as I slipped these babies on I knew they were coming home with me.
