Half-Up Top Knot Pt. 2

I know you all have been waiting patiently for my version of the half-up top knot, so here it is!!! It took some playing around with and tweaking to get it just the way I like it because my hair's texture tends to be on the fine side but now I'm obsessed. I even wore my hair like this to work Saturday night and got compliments from a couple guys. They're normally my toughest critic when I try to step outside the box fashion/beauty wise so it was nice to hear!!

Half-Up Top Knot

For anyone that really knows me, you know 95% of the time my hair will be styled into a cotton candy-ish looking bun. I've had people spot me from miles away actually cause they recognized my top knot. I just think it's quick/easy/stylish, and works for all different occasions...(orrrrr I'm just super lazy when it comes to my hair). So you could imagine my excitement when I began to see this hairstyle popping up everywhere. I could potentially have THREE hairstyles now...down parted down the middle and wavy, bun, and now this lil' gem!! I haven't tried it out yet but looking at these images makes me wanna go home now and do it. I'll be sure to post pictures if I like the way it comes out...in the meantime you can drool over these babes xx

My Favorite Bloggers

My Favorite Bloggers

I've been blogging on and off since 2010 and in that time I've come to accumulate a pretty extensive list of bloggers to follow. I wanted to share with you guys my top 3, and just a few pieces that define their signature style. In no particular order is Karla's Closet by Karla Deras, Dylana Suarez, and Sea of Shoes by Jane Aldridge. All these girls have such a distinct different style from each other yet I look forward to each week where they share their styles, opinions, and adventures. It's really inspiring to see their blog evolve and take new direction. It motivates me to do the same with mine. xx

How to style leather leggings casually

How to style leather leggings casually

It's November 3rd and last night standing at the gas pump was the first time this fall where I really was like "oh shit", I better start wearing more layers. I'm not one of those people that takes their entire summer wardrobe and stores it away for the winter...that would break my heart. I've always mixed and matched seasons within reason to extend my options. Another way to stretch my closet and wallet is dressing up/dressing down certain pieces of clothing. Hence the real reason for my rambling. I'm not quite sure if anyone does this too or would be too afraid to wear leather leggings, but it's really quite easy. I would wear this outfit to school, out for some drinks/lunch, to a show..etc. Just by swapping out accessories, and footwear you can have an entirely different look for a different occasion. With every fiber in my body I want to dislike Kim Kardashian but earlier this month I came across a picture of her casually wearing leather leggings to a pumpkin patch and I'm obsessed. The direction she's taken her style is amazing and light years away from how she use to dress. I mean come on, she had a spending spree at the Gap on her birthday for gods sake...
