Case of the Monday's

Alexander Wang Spring 2009 rtw Alexander Wang Spring 2010 rtw
While I was at Target the other day, I came across a grey pair of kicker sweatpants for $16. I can't even remember the last time I owned a pair of sweatpants but I've been wanting to try them out in a new way ever since I saw what Alexander Wang was doing with them in his collections. I guess I never really wore sweatpants because I felt they always made people look sloppy and shapeless. Silly me! I never even thought to even try and dress them up. Now I'm just obsessed with the idea of it.

At first I was wearing my Calvin Klein cage heels but the park at the end of my street was a swamp so I had to switch to my high top Vans so I wouldn't sink into the grass!

tank top and sweatpants: Target
jacket: BB Dakota
scarf: H&M
purse: F21
sunnies: Betsey Johnson
rings: Aldo

PS.I know everyone hates Mondays but lately mine have been quite event full!..today I had a lil' photo shoot in the park, went to Ponchos for margarita Mondays, and all my favorite shows are on tonight. Now I'm off to continue my search for the perfect athletic inspired heels. If anyone comes across some let me know!! Hope every one's start of their week wasn't too horrible xo Amanda

February 2010 Vogue Italia: Three Women

These are just some of my favorite images from the editorial spread entitled Three Women, photographed by Steven Meisel. Jamie Bochert, Agyness Deyn, and Daphine Guinness are simply breath taking in every shot.

I'm just waiting for someone to pull out their tommy gun!

I'm not a pink and frilly kinda girl so this was what I wore for Valentines Day. top: Rodarte for Target, tank top, clutch and jeans: Forever21, heels: Calvin Klein, pink cameo ring: Aldo, Swarovski crystal earrings
For Valentines Day I spent majority of the day bummin around with my valentine opening up my gifts, watching trashy t.v shows, and eating my favorite lunch...grilled cheese and tomato soup Yum!! For dinner we had reservations at one of my favorite restaurants, Lombardo's in Downtown Albany. For those who haven't been there I highly recommend you get your butt over there. I always feel like I'm stepping into a scene of the Godfather when I go there. I'm usually super picky when it comes to Italian food but this place has been open since 1933 and one taste of their food and you'll know why! I blame my pickiness on my grandpa Luigi, he spoiled me with his amazing cooking all while I was growing up. I think I over indulged justttt a lil bit but my pasta with calamari, and homemade tiramisou was definitely worth it. After dinner we had plans to meet up with my friends to see The Wolfman, but we were a lil early so we stopped into the Cheesecake Factory and had Jack Daniel's whisky sours made with orange marmalade!! I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentines Days whether single or taken. xo amanda

God save McQueen

I just found out not too long ago about the death of Alexander McQueen, and its absolutely devastating. He was so talented, and his work was such an inspiration to me. Its even more upsetting to know that he had so much more to continue to offer in the world of fashion. He was in a league all his own, a creative genius. My condolences go to his loved ones and family.

A working class hero is something to be

So after 15 minutes taking blurry pictures of nonsense I finally figured out how to work the self timer on my sisters camera. I'm gonna have to enlist a family member next time cause I feel like it would go much smoother. I wore this out today running errands and continuing my job hunt. The vest and jeans are from F21, long sleeve t-shirt from target, necklace vintage. I dunno if its the weather but I haven't been into wearing crazy bright colors lately. I usually just add a pop of color with my accessories. Anyway, I'm off to pick out an outfit for tonight, going to the pub with the ladies!
