"We don't wake up for less than $10,000 a day".

A couple weeks ago I was asked by my favorite bunny Margaret owner of Some Girls Boutique if I would be interested in modeling some clothes for a photo shoot she had planned. I told her yes without hesitation. That's every girls dream right? To play dress up in amazing clothes, and have someone take your picture? Wellllll I don't know if I bumped my head and lost conscious in the exact moment that I told her yes because the night before I literally started to panic, and practicing in front of my mirror was not helping my self-esteem. I have no experience in front of the camera, I'm a complete goofball and with those said facts I've come to terms that I'm more comfortable working on the other side. When I woke up that Sunday morning, I was surprisingly more calm than I thought I was going to be. I bet that glass of white wine I had before bed had something to do with it hmmm. When I arrived at Some Girls it was down to business. Hair and make up was done, some last minute fittings, and we were off to the studio. I was first up in front of the white screen and I tried my best to channel my inner  Ashley Smith minus the gap in between her two front teeth. Thinking about it now I would have been better off with the damn gap in my teeth, we all know the fashion world loves weird and freakish imperfections on beautiful girls. Dang you mom for dragging me to the dentist every 6 months!!!!  Alas...as the day went on, and with each outfit change I became a little more relaxed. The photographers even told me I had amazing facial expressions!! That kinda made my day. I think the point I'm trying to get at by sharing this story and rambling on is I kind of overcame a small fear that day. I'm not delusional in the fact that I think I'm now qualified to sign up for season 37 of America's Next Top Model, (Tyra would crush my soul) but if ever asked again to step in front of a camera, and I say yes reading my texts in a wine haze, I'll be a little more confident than the time before. Thanks to Margaret and Some Girls Boutique for making me feel like a mini diva that day and helping me get a grip!!
